Job summary

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems seeks a quality inspector to provide technical support to quality and QE functions, conducting QC inspections at various production stages to ensure compliance with established standards. The role involves data analysis, documentation, and coordination of calibration activities.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma/GED with 2–4 years' experience or an equivalent combination, and a vocational/technical training degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required with 2-4 years' experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
• Vocational/Technical Training Degree preferred
• Strong oral and written communication, mathematical, computer and technical skills, detail oriented

Responsibilities

• Performs repetitive and routine inspections, checks, tests and sampling procedures of standard parts, units, equipment, or materials.
• Inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished products using well-defined criteria and standard measurements.
• Reworks or rejects subassemblies or finished products as required.
• Performs audits to ensure standards of quality are maintained.
• Documents the results of the inspections and testing.
• Coordinates calibration of test equipment and fixtures.
• Assists with inspection procedures, protocols and checklists.
