Job summary

Sealing Devices in Lancaster, NY seeks a Quality Control Inspector 2 to ensure product quality through receiving and in-process inspections in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will verify parts meet requirements, document results, and communicate findings across teams.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1 year of inspection experience preferred and ASQ certification preferred. This is a non-exempt full-time position based on-site with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree is preferred.
• 1 year of inspection experience is preferred.
• ASQ Certified Mechanical Inspector is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company policies, procedures, and work instructions in the completion of daily activities with minimal input and supervision to ensure successful accomplishment of company objectives.
• Perform receiving inspections to verify that incoming parts and materials meet requirements and are suitable for use.
• Document, identify, and segregate nonconforming product.
• Document Supplier Information Requests (SIR) for missing or incorrect documentation.
• Perform visual and/or dimensional inspections of mid- to large volumes of similar parts to verify product conformity to specified requirements, including accurately identifying and differentiating colors, materials, markings, and other visual characteristics required for product verification and acceptance.
• Follow appropriate sampling plans per direction in Procedures, Work Instructions, and Job Operations
• Document inspection results, measurements, and other relevant data accurately.
• Interact with other employees and departments in a professional manner in addressing product quality and related issues.
• Provide other departments with information and assistance to support them in accomplishing their objectives.
• Contribute to and participate in improvement activities within the Quality Control Inspector 2 department and the company.
• Follow procedures and work instructions as written and recommend improvements as necessary.
• Perform any other task/activity assigned by the supervisor within the scope of Company business.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per the Sealing Devices Quality System.
