Job summary

Astrix Inc. is seeking a quality inspector in Rahway, NJ, responsible for inspecting materials and finished goods in a medical device environment. You will read blueprints, measure with precision tools, and operate inspection equipment to ensure adherence to specifications.

The role requires blueprint reading and medical device manufacturing experience, with attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production setting. Direct hire, on-site schedule.

Qualifications

• Medical device manufacturing experience is required.
• Blueprint reading experience is required.
• Experience using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Experience with electronic inspection equipment and/or quality software preferred.
• Experience with CMMs or 3D scanners is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Monitor production operations and recommend process adjustments when needed.
• Measure products using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers.

• Approve or reject raw materials and finished products based on specifications.
• Identify and remove products or materials that do not meet requirements.

• Work closely with production teams to identify opportunities to reduce material waste and improve efficiency.
• Follow all quality, safety, and production procedures.

Pay Rate Low: 45000 | Pay Rate High: 52000

Pay: $45,000–$52,000/year ($22–$25/hour)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM

Type: Direct Hire

Location: Rahway, NJ
