Job summary

Astrix in Rahway, NJ is seeking a 2nd shift Quality Control Inspector with medical device manufacturing experience and strong blueprint reading skills to ensure product quality. You will inspect incoming and outgoing products, measure with calipers, micrometers, and gauges, operate CMMs and 3D scanners, and document results while working Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM in a direct hire role.

  • Medical device manufacturing experience is required.
  • Blueprint reading experience is required.
  • Experience using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Experience with electronic inspection equipment and/or quality software preferred.
  • Experience with CMMs or 3D scanners is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
  • Inspect materials and finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Monitor production operations and recommend process adjustments when needed.
  • Measure products using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and rulers.
  • Perform testing and inspections using electronic equipment and software.
  • Operate inspection equipment, including CMMs and 3D scanners.
  • Approve or reject raw materials and finished products based on specifications.
  • Identify and remove products or materials that do not meet requirements.
  • Document inspection and test results accurately.
  • Track and report supplier and product performance.
  • Prepare inspection reports for Quality Management.
  • Work closely with production teams to identify opportunities to reduce material waste and improve efficiency.
  • Follow all quality, safety, and production procedures.

Pay Rate Low: 45000 | Pay Rate High: 52000

We are seeking a 2nd shift Quality Control Inspector with experience in medical device manufacturing and strong blueprint reading skills. This role is responsible for inspecting incoming and outgoing products, monitoring production processes, performing measurements and testing, and ensuring products meet established quality standards.

Pay: $45,000–$52,000/year ($22–$25/hour)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM

Type: Direct Hire

Location: Rahway, NJ
