Job summary

Desert Ready Mix is seeking a Quality Control Field Technician to ensure the highest standards for our ready-mix concrete products. The role involves on-site testing and real-time adjustments to mixes to meet project specifications, with a focus on safety and accuracy in reporting test results.

The ideal candidate has prior QC experience in ready-mix concrete, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily quality performance to ensure concrete meets specifications.
• Perform on-site testing: slump, air content, temperature, unit weight.
• Adjust mixes as needed to stay compliant with specs and job requirements.
• Identify and troubleshoot quality issues including deviations and complaints.
• Collaborate with sales and production to resolve quality concerns and improve satisfaction.
• Maintain detailed test results and mix adjustment records.
• Build strong relationships with customers, contractors, and internal teams.
• Ensure testing equipment is clean, maintained, and operable; report issues.
