Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Analytical Chemist for a contract-to-hire role in Columbus, OH. You will perform GC/HPLC analyses, validate methods, and maintain rigorous lab records in a GMP/FDA environment. You will collaborate with a team, troubleshoot analyses, and contribute to method improvements.

The successful candidate will have 3+ years of chemistry experience with HPLC/GC and strong communication skills. Onsite work with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in GC or HPLC analysis within GMP/FDA environments.
• 3+ years of industry chemistry experience focusing on HPLC/GC.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
• Experience in quality is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform qualitative, quantitative chemical and physical testing per specifications for APIs and finished products.
• Conduct peer reviews of analytical testing documentation and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain laboratory data in notebooks and documents.
• Re-validate methods and work with HPLC, GC, and Wet Chemistry.
• Author technical reports for analytical methods improvement.
• Troubleshoot analyses and demonstrate instrument knowledge.
