Actalent, Inc. seeks a Chemical Analyst for its Skokie, IL laboratory. The role is contract to hire and onsite, focusing on chemistry testing, documentation, and equipment qualification in a cGMP environment.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a scientific subject, 0–1 year of experience, and familiarity with HPLC, pH meters, and GLP practices; MS Office proficiency is required for data management and reporting.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate research experience demonstrated in laboratory settings.
• Basic knowledge of HPLC instrumentation and pH meters.
• Understanding of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in pharmaceutical labs.
• Proficiency with MS Office for data recording and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Review documentation and release incoming materials such as API, excipients, and processing auxiliaries.
• Ensure project milestones for the Chemistry Laboratory are met, including laboratory qualifications.
• Establish, review, and approve SOPs and related documentation.
• Perform analytical testing of raw materials, utilities, and in-process samples; release and stability testing of finished products.
• Collect samples of raw materials and utilities; train colleagues on techniques.
