Job summary

Actalent is seeking a QC Chemist I for our Columbus, OH site. You will perform bench testing including sample prep, dilutions, and standard weighing, with training on HPLC/GC to support Oral Dose Solids and Nasals development. This contract-to-hire role emphasizes timely analytical work and cGXP compliance.

You will document results, assist in method validation and transfer, and collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment on 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM).

Qualifications

• Experience with dilutions, sample preparation, and chemical testing.
• Bachelor's degree in a chemistry-related field is required.
• Strong chemistry lab experience, either academic or professional.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Conduct chemical and physical analyses in support of product development and regulatory submissions.
• Provide analytical support for the release of registration materials.
• Assist in analytical method validation and transfer activities.
• Perform assigned analytical tasks within timelines and in compliance with cGXP's and company procedures.
• Follow work instructions, SOPs, and company practices.
• Accurately document analytical activities and results in a timely manner, ensuring data integrity.
• Follow written analytical procedures and identify challenges in execution, supporting troubleshooting activities.
