Job summary

Actalent is seeking a QC Specialist/Biochemist to lead day-to-day quality control activities in a fast-paced analytical lab. You will serve as a technical resource for technicians, conduct release testing, and drive method development and validation efforts.

You will engage in technical transfers, investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives to uphold safety and compliance. The role emphasizes SME support for key lab equipment, validation of methods, and collaboration with leadership

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a QC/analytical lab.
• Bachelor's in Biochemistry or related field or advanced degree with relevant experience.
• Hands-on HPLC and ELISA in analytical lab.
• Experience in lab operations, documentation, and compliance.
• Experience in leadership or training within a lab.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily workload of QC Technicians and Specialists.
• Provide technical instruction and troubleshooting for QC team.
• Perform routine release testing and support disposition.
• Lead method development, validation, and transfers.
• Own quality events, deviations, investigations, and changes.
• Review QC documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Audit inventory management and reagent qualifications.
• Coordinate maintenance and calibration of instruments.
