Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Deer Park, TX is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to ensure products and materials meet quality standards. You will conduct inspections, document outcomes, and collaborate with production and engineering to drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor's in QA/Engineering, ASQ certification preferred, and experience with SPC, Lean, and precision measuring tools. Strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in quality assurance, engineering, or related field.
• Certification in Quality Control or Quality Assurance (ASQ) preferred.
• Experience in a QA role within the industry.
• Knowledge of quality standards and regulations.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Must have extensive knowledge of Mechanical Integrity, Pipe Inspection, Vessel Inspection and UT Fitness Inspections.
• Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Document and report inspection outcomes with detailed reports.
• Identify defects and monitor discrepancies to support continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to maintain quality throughout manufacturing.
• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and performance.
• Train production staff in QC procedures and protocols.
• Analyze data and communicate findings for process improvements.
• Interpret QA standards and implement policies.

Job description

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or technical certification preferred.

• Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong statistical analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.

• Perform routine maintenance on testing and inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Train and guide production staff in quality control procedures and protocols.
• Analyze test data and communicate findings to relevant departments for process improvements.
• Interpret and apply quality assurance standards, methodologies, and regulations.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control policies and procedures.
