This role is critical to embedding quality at the source — before issues become failures.

Essential Functions
  • Conduct field- and facility-based audits of quality-critical processes using company-issued checklists and standards
  • Promote and reinforce adherence to SOPs, Best Practices, and safety-critical work instructions
  • Build trust-based relationships with crews and lead to support coaching, quality awareness, and proactive issue reporting
  • Initiate Quality tickets and non-conformance reports in the QMS system and ensure clear documentation of findings
  • Support deployment of field-facing quality tools such as Layered Process Audits (LPAs), Control Plans, and checklists
  • Collaborate with Quality Systems Engineers to escalate and resolve systemic issues
  • Facilitate pre-job startup reviews and field walkthroughs to identify risk prior to equipment deployment or job startup
  • Assist in recognition of high-performing crews and support the cultural rollout of quality expectations
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support quality assurance and operational continuity
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Qualifications & Position Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship.
  • Successfully pass all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License required. Most employment is contingent upon meeting company driving standards, including 3 year U.S. driving history and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) in accordance with Company policy.
  • Daily predictable attendance in Midland, TX.
Education / Experience Level
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, or equivalent technical field required. An equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
  • Preferred 1 year of operational or maintenance experience in oilfield services, manufacturing, or field support roles.
Qualifications, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build trust with crews, supervisors, and support teams.
  • Familiarity with operational procedures, field service environments, or equipment staging practices.
  • Proficient use of digital tools such as KPA, Microsoft Teams, Excel, and mobile form platforms.
  • Ability to conduct structured audits and clearly document observations.
  • Self-motivated with excellent follow-through and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and adapt to dynamic field conditions.
  • Committed to modeling and promoting quality, safety, and operational discipline.
Qualifications for Advancement
  • Demonstrated impact on field adherence and process accountability.
  • Proficiency in QMS application usage and field reporting.
  • Recognized by peers or managers for consistency, professionalism, and reliability.
  • Proven collaboration with Quality Systems Engineers and field leadership to close process gaps.
  • Participation in successful deployment of quality tools (e.g., LPAs, Control Plans) across assigned location(s).
Physical Requirements / Work Environment

When required to go to a wellsite, the QA/QC Engineers work environment may include exposure to hazardous materials, operating conditions, audio up to 85 dB and inclement weather, including typical and atypical outdoor elements and extreme cold and hot weather temperatures. Given these conditions, if visiting a pad, the QA/QC Engineer may be required to wear company mandated and issued personal protective equipment (PPE) (fire retardant coveralls, safety hat, steel-toe boots, safety glasses, ear protection and impact gloves) and must strictly adhere to all safety policies.
