KellyMitchell Group is seeking a QA Tester to join an Agile product team supporting customer-facing portals, web systems, and CRM applications in a hybrid role based in St. Louis, MO.

You will focus on manual testing across the software development lifecycle, including planning, execution, defect management, and end-to-end validation. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on manual testing experience, strong requirements analysis skills, and a collaborative mindset to work with stakeholders

Our client, an energy & utilities provider, is seeking a QA Tester to join an Agile product team supporting customer-facing portals, web systems, and CRM applications. This role will focus on manual testing efforts across the software development lifecycle, including test planning, execution, defect management, and end-to-end validation. The ideal candidate will have strong experience analyzing business requirements, executing comprehensive test scenarios, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality digital solutions.

• Location: St. Louis, MO
• Work Model: Hybrid
• Duration: 51-week contract (01/04/2027 - 12/31/2027)

Core Responsibilities

• Review business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and solution designs to determine test coverage
• Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases, test scenarios, and regression test suites
• Perform functional, integration, system, end-to-end, regression, exploratory, negative, and boundary testing
• Validate business rules, application functionality, customer journeys, and cross-system data flows
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects through resolution
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and vendors to troubleshoot issues and support releases
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement sessions, demos, and retrospectives
• Conduct production validation and post-deployment testing activities
• Communicate testing progress, risks, quality concerns, and release readiness to project stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience (Must-Haves)

• 3+ years of manual software testing or quality assurance experience
• Experience creating and executing detailed manual test cases and test scenarios
• Strong understanding of functional, integration, system, end-to-end, regression, exploratory, and negative testing methodologies
• Experience analyzing business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
• Experience documenting, tracking, and retesting software defects
• Strong business process analysis and requirements analysis skills
• Experience working within Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong stakeholder communication and collaboration skills
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify edge cases and unexpected system behavior

Preferred Skills & Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Experience using Zephyr Scale
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint
• Experience writing and maintaining test scripts
• Experience supporting enterprise web applications, portals, or CRM platforms
• Prior experience validating complex system integrations and business workflows

• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Ability to work independently.

• Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $28.00 and $40.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
