Job summary

IBM Infrastructure seeks a QA/Test Intern to ensure quality, reliability, performance, and security of enterprise software solutions. You'll design and execute testing strategies, automate coverage, identify defects, and drive continuous quality improvements throughout the SDLC.

You will work with developers, architects, product managers, and support teams to integrate quality at every stage, participate in agile activities, and help monitor product quality metrics and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, and QA principles.
• Experience developing and executing manual and automated test cases.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools.
• Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line environments.
• Understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems testing.
• Knowledge of Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans across multiple levels.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and suites to improve coverage.
• Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure quality is built in.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects through resolution.
• Validate new features and bug fixes against requirements.
• Participate in code and design reviews and agile ceremonies.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions with engineering teams.
• Contribute to CI/CD by integrating automated testing and quality gates.
• Monitor quality metrics and suggest testing improvements.
• Create and maintain test documentation and QA standards.
