Job summary

IBM Infrastructure & Technology is seeking Software Engineers, Computer Scientists, and Computer Engineers to help develop firmware and low-level system software for IBM Power Systems. You will work at the intersection of hardware and software, designing firmware, platform initialization, hardware enablement, and virtualization features for next-generation IBM Power servers.

Qualifications

  • Programming in C/C++ demonstrated through coursework, projects or internships.
  • Knowledge of data structures, algorithms and software design principles.
  • Interest in firmware development, embedded systems, OS, or hypervisors.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with a passion for technology.

Responsibilities

  • Develop firmware and low-level system software powering IBM Power Systems.
  • Design and implement firmware, platform initialization, hardware enablement, systems management, virtualization, and performance features.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to solve complex challenges and deliver innovations.
