Job summary

The Mennel Milling Company is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician I in Fostoria, OH. This role supports our food safety programs, ensures compliance with internal/external specifications, and contributes to overall quality, uniformity and service for customers.

You will conduct required testing, maintain calibration logs, and work within GMP and FSIS/FDA guidelines to uphold Mennel’s Food Safety and Quality Statement. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s in cereal science, food science, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, analytical instrument, microbiology or related field preferred.
• Ability to prioritize, organize tasks, and communicate with internal/external customers.

Responsibilities

• Follow all food and personal safety rules and regulations (GMPs, OSHA, HACCP, FSIS, FDA FSMA) and maintain audit-ready conditions.
• Proficient in routine testing and reporting analyses for internal and external customers.
• Perform accurate analysis of routine samples.
• Promptly communicate important quality, safety, and security concerns to co-workers and QA Manager.
• Calibrate and/or troubleshoot each analysis and maintain calibration logs.
• Perform monthly Intra Lab check samples.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and perform sanitation duties.
• Other duties may be assigned.
