Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or bachelor’s Degree in cereal science, food science, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, analytical instrumentation, microbiology, or a related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to organize tasks.
• Ability to perform routine laboratory testing and document results.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with company software.
• Strong communication skills and teamwork with internal and external customers.
• Ability to adapt to changing duties and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing and analyze samples for internal and external customers.
• Report results and communicate quality, safety, and security concerns to QA team.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot testing equipment and maintain logs.
• Conduct monthly intra-laboratory check samples to ensure testing accuracy.
• Follow GMP, OSHA, HACCP, GFSI, and FDA standards; maintain audit-ready area.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and complete sanitation duties.

What You’ll Do

As a Quality Assurance Technician I, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our products meet internal and external quality specifications while supporting Mennel’s food safety programs and commitment to delivering superior quality, uniformity, and service.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Perform routine testing and accurately analyze samples for internal and external customers.
• Report testing results and promptly communicate quality, safety, and security concerns to the appropriate team members and Quality Assurance Manager.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot testing equipment while maintaining accurate calibration logs.
• Perform monthly intra-laboratory check samples to support testing accuracy and consistency.
• Follow all food safety and personal safety requirements, including GMPs, OSHA, HACCP, GFSI, and FDA Food Safety Modernization Act standards.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work area while completing assigned sanitation duties.

What We’re Looking For
