Job description

This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with quality and food safety requirements and will work directly with QA management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Individual contributor role with no direct reports.
2. Review QA/HACCP paperwork used in all production departments and ensure it is filled out correctly.
3. Interact and communicate effectively with management, QA, production team members, government officials, and third-party contractors.
4. Perform routine QA checks and audits on production, the dock, and the facility.
5. Develop and maintain databases as needed.
6. Conduct QA sampling and testing methods.
7. Understand the processes and methods involved in food production.
8. Adhere to and promote safety procedures through education, training, and proper use of protective equipment, following safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.
9. Perform other duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work is typically performed in an office environment or on the production floor, which is refrigerated.
• No domestic travel required.
• Require wearing GMP uniforms, including hairnet, gloves, lab coats, rubber boots, and personal protective equipment such as cut-resistant gloves, bump cap, and steel mesh gloves without exception.
• Physical requirements include lifting up to 15 pounds, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, reaching, using hands or fingers, talking, hearing, feeling objects, and standing/walking on concrete flooring for extended periods.
