Job summary

Brakebush Brothers, Inc. is seeking a QA Technician to ensure products meet established QA guidelines in a climate-controlled facility in Wisconsin.

You will perform batter tests, temperature checks, box counts, and defect inspections, while maintaining hold/release records and supporting data for customer inquiries.

Applicants should be capable of standing for long periods, lifting, and working with confidential information, with strict adherence to training and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Computer knowledge and ability to work well with other departments are essential.

• Ability to use Radio/phone system.
• Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 8 hours per day.
• Handle confidential information and comply with training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Batter tests and product temperature checks (frozen/fully cooked).
• Box counts and portion weight checks.
• Boneless product inspection and hold/release record keeping.
• Research data for customer complaints and sample collection for bacti tests.
• Returned product inspection and paperwork; FFA test on oils.
• Cooler checks and assist with receiving inspection.
• Tolerate varied environments (temp, humidity, dust).
• Thermometer calibrations and sanitation inspections.
• Mid-shift swabs as requested and verify HACCP/SQF monitor tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Ensure that products produced, in your area of responsibility are in accordance with established QA guidelines.

JOB DUTIES:

Batter tests.

Product temperature checks (frozen/ fully cooked).

Box counts/ Portion weight checks.

Boneless product inspection.

Hold/ release record keeping.

Research data for customer complaints.

Sample collection for bacti / prep and fat and moisture.

Returned product inspection/ paperwork.

FFA test on oils.

Cooler checks.

Assist with receiving inspection.

Tolerant of extended periods of time standing, walking & variation in environment (temperatures, humidity, flour, etc.).

Bug light checks (weekly). Rodent trap checks (inside/outside) (monthly).

Thermometer calibrations.

Sanitation inspections (inside/ outside).

Mid-shift swabs (as requested).

Verify monitor tests to satisfy HACCP/SQF.

Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Exposure to varying temperatures from warm to cold, some heavy lifting, dust, noise, slippery floors. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.

High school diploma or equivalent. Must pass company math test. Computer knowledge and the ability to work well with other departments is essential. Self motivated, quality minded, reliable individual. Must be able to work with little supervision. Ability to use Radio/phone system. Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs, up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to work with and handle confidential information. Must meet the physical abilities evaluation for this position. Must successfully complete all required training.
