Job summary

Dessert Holdings is seeking a QA Supervisor (1st Shift) in Pembroke, NC. The role oversees QA technicians and production floor activities to ensure food safety and product quality, aligning with SQF, HACCP, and GMP standards.

The position offers a signing bonus of $2,500 and a typical salary range of $55,000–$65,000 annually, with comprehensive medical plans, dental/vision, paid vacation, holidays, and retirement contributions.

Qualifications

• BS degree or equivalent experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervises daily activities of QA Technicians and coaches, trains, and supports the QA team to support business growth.
• Provides guidance regarding quality and food safety issues to Operations and QA teams.
• Communicates daily with FSQA Techs regarding production schedule and QA issues.
• Maintain inventory of QC/lab supplies and coordinate training from suppliers or new equipment purchased.
• Reviews and organizes operational paperwork daily.
• Supports audits (customer, regulatory, GFSI) and inspections; analyzes results and deficiencies.
