Job summary
Victaulic is seeking a Quality Supervisor in Cookeville, Tennessee. You will lead the quality team on the shop floor, ensuring product and process quality align with our QMS and ISO 9001 standards. This exempt, full-time role blends on-site floor work with office collaboration.

Qualifications

- Ability to make independent decisions and drive corrective action.

We’re looking for a Quality Supervisor to join our Quality team in Cookeville, Tennessee. In this role, you’ll lead day-to-day quality assurance activities on the floor, supervising the quality team and ensuring consistent product and process quality in line with our Quality Management System (QMS) and ISO 9001 requirements. You’ll own first-line quality execution — inspections, non‑conformance handling, and corrective action follow‑through — while partnering closely with Production, Engineering, and the Quality Manager. This is an opportunity to build a culture of quality accountability and continuous improvement across the floor.
- Support the maintenance of a robust Quality Management System (QMS) compliant with ISO 9001 and applicable standards.
- Ensure daily quality activities and documentation align with QMS procedures and company policy.
- Maintain necessary records and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001 standards, and assist with internal and external audits.
- Supervise quality inspectors and technicians, assigning daily priorities and monitoring performance.
- Provide coaching, training, and on‑the‑floor guidance to strengthen inspection accuracy and quality discipline.
- Foster a culture of quality consciousness and accountability among the production team.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management for the quality team in partnership with the Quality Manager and HR.
- Lead investigations into product non‑conformances and drive root cause analysis.
- Implement corrective and preventive action plans and monitor remediation effectiveness.
- Flag recurring quality issues and elevate to the Quality Manager with supporting data.
- Conduct regular audits of the production floor to ensure adherence to the QMS and identify areas for improvement.
- Track key quality metrics for the area and report performance trends to the Quality Manager.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and other departments to ensure customer and Victaulic requirements are met.
- 3–5+ years of experience in quality within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of Quality Systems such as ISO 9001.
- Ability to quickly learn and understand new concepts.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, organized updates to peers and leadership.
- Ability to make independent decisions and drive corrective action without direct supervisory assistance.
- Comfortable dividing time between the manufacturing floor and office settings, with PPE compliance required in operational areas.
- Prior lead or supervisory experience.
- ASQ Certified Quality Technician or Certified Quality Engineer certification.
- Six Sigma Green Belt (or equivalent).
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
