ManpowerGroup on behalf of a specialty food and packaging manufacturer seeks a QA Supervisor to lead the Quality Control team and drive corrective actions ensuring top-quality products. You will support HACCP/GMP processes, mentor technicians, and coordinate QC activities during production.

The role emphasizes training, continuous improvement, and rapid resolution of non-conformances to safeguard product quality and compliance. This position is on-site at a high-volume facility in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a four‑year college or university, or equivalent experience.
• Five years in QC/Food with manufacturing experience, including managing direct reports.
• Technical understanding of HACCP and GMP with quality systems knowledge.
• Ability to apply basic statistics to problem solving and root cause analysis; proficiency with spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical, verbal and written communication, and solid organization.

Job description

Our client, a specialty food and packaging organization, is seeking a QA Supervisor to join their team. As a QA Supervisor, you will be part of the Quality Assurance department supporting the Quality Control team at the facility. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, a rigorous food safety mindset, and the ability to drive corrective actions that improve quality outcomes.

Pay Range:

$85,000 - $110,000

What's the Job?

• Supervise and coordinate Quality Control activities by assigning and prioritizing tasks based on production needs and contingencies.
• Oversee non-conformance management by ensuring issues are identified, quarantined, tracked, and resolved quickly with appropriate follow-up.
• Support production verification by supervising QC technicians as they review operator reports, charts, and records prior to releasing finished products.
• Lead training and onboarding for QC technicians, identify training needs, and help ensure quality requirements are understood and applied across the facility.
• Respond to production contingencies through problem-solving and technical decision-making (including recipe adjustments and pH corrections when needed), while supporting continuous improvement.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four‑year college or university; or three or more years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five years of experience in QC/Food with experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, including experience managing direct reports.
• Technical understanding of food safety, including HACCP and GMP operations, with strong knowledge of quality systems.
• Ability to apply basic statistical concepts to problem solving and root cause analysis, and proficiency using spreadsheets.
• Strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication, and strong organization and time management to manage multiple priorities.
