Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a Quality Control professional to ensure HVAC installation materials and processes meet project, regulatory, and customer standards. You will perform site inspections, review shop drawings, and verify procedures are followed.

You will coordinate with superintendents, maintain logs and code books, and train crews on testing procedures while ensuring OSHA compliance and quality conformance across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent required.
• 5 years of progressive quality control experience or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of construction, OSHA regulations, and safety policies.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems proactively.
• Proficient in MS Office and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality standards for installation of materials and products for Mechanical HVAC systems.
• Conduct job walks and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and project specs.
• Document inspection results and recommend corrective actions for non-compliances.
• Maintain procedural documents, logs, and code books; provide training as needed.
• Coordinate with superintendents to manage licenses and permits; review equipment specs.
• Assist project teams in defining QA/QC roles and expectations before project start.
