Job summary

Southland Industries Inc. is seeking a Quality Control professional to ensure HVAC installation and fabrication meet regulatory and client standards. You will lead inspections, document results, and drive corrective actions on job sites and shops.

This role requires strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, plus experience in construction quality processes and OSHA regulations. The company offers robust benefits and employee ownership.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent.
• 5 years of progressive quality control experience or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of all aspects of construction (technology, equipment, processes, and methods).
• Knowledge and understanding of OSHA regulations as well as safety policies and procedures.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Organizational and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitors quality standards for installation of materials and products for Mechanical HVAC systems to ensure project integration.
• Performs site and fabrication inspections to ensure compliance with regulations, OSHA, and contractual specs.
• Documents inspection results and recommends solutions for non-compliant situations.
• Maintains procedural documents and conducts training when needed.
• Partners with superintendents to manage licenses, including expiry and renewals.
• Reviews project equipment specs and secures specialty permits.
• Clarifies QA/QC roles and expectations before projects begin.
