Job summary

Prime Data Centers in Lockhart, Texas seeks a QA/QC Program Engineer to own the verification chain for OFCI equipment from factory through energization and turnover to Operations.

You will manage factory witness tests, audit documentation, drive RCA, and ensure 100% closure of findings, coordinating with Procurement, Engineering, Commissioning, Construction and site teams across multiple hubs. Travel domestically as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or related field, or military training with field experience.
• 7+ years QA/QC in mission critical or data center construction environments.
• Experience in RFP/submittal review and equipment inspection.
• Knowledge of OQE principles and documentation standards.
• Experience witnessing factory acceptance testing of electrical and mechanical gear.
• Familiarity with commissioning Levels 1–5 and pre-energization safety procedures.
• Proficiency with CxAlloy or similar; MCIM/MCAP familiarity.
• Ability to lead formal Root Cause Analysis using structured methods.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and submittal packages.
• Strong MEP systems expertise and willingness to travel domestically.

Responsibilities

• Lead the QA/qc program across the equipment lifecycle from factory floor to turnover.
• Manage Factory Witness Test and FAT Tracker; schedule and assign responsibilities.
• Audit documentation; drive RCA; ensure 100% closure of findings.
• Document OFCI equipment findings with traceable evidence from factory to field.
• Verify asset tag data and alignment with drawings and revisions.
• Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, Commissioning, and Construction teams.
• Reconcile tag data with submittals and drawing revisions before downstream use.
• Direct RCA for inconsistencies and escalate systemic issues to Operations.
• Participate in pre-energization cleanliness walks and energization events.
• Lead or support audits and lessons-learned sessions with site engineers.
