Job summary

Prime Data Centers seeks a qualified QA/QC Program Engineer to serve as quality authority across the equipment lifecycle—from factory to energization and turnover to Operations. You will own the OFCI verification chain, ensure traceability, and drive 100% closure on findings.

Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, and Construction to maintain high-reliability standards. Responsibilities include managing factory visits, reviewing submittals, documenting deficiencies, and performing RCA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years QA/QC in mission-critical, data center, industrial, or high-reliability construction.
• Experience with equipment submittals, RFP reviews and inspections.
• Familiarity with OQE principles and documentation standards.
• Experience witnessing factory acceptance testing of electrical and mechanical gear.
• Knowledge of commissioning levels 1–5 and pre-energization safety protocols.
• Strong RCA skills using structured methods (5-Why, Fishbone, etc.).
• Ability to read single-line diagrams, P&IDs, and control drawings.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Factory Witness Test/ Fat Tracker and scheduling.
• Provide factories with SOPs and test scripts for visits.
• Review equipment with Procurement and Engineering for quality.
• Document deficiencies and propose corrective steps.
• Establish evidence trail from factory to field for OFCI equipment.
• Verify asset tag data and ensure it matches drawings/submittals.
• Input asset data into site equipment management system.
• Lead RCA for QA/QC issues and escalate/document failures.
• Participate in pre-energization cleanliness walks and energization events.
• Attend GC meetings representing the owner and drive issue resolution.
