Job summary

Prime Data Centers is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Program Engineer to serve as the quality authority across the full equipment lifecycle, from factory floor to energization and turnover to Operations.

The role partners with Procurement, Engineering, Commissioning, Construction, and Site Engineering to manage factory witness and acceptance testing, document findings, and enforce accountability for construction and commissioning plans. Domestic travel is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related technical discipline
• 7+ years of QA/QC experience in mission critical, data center, industrial, or high-reliability construction environments
• Demonstrated experience in RFP review, equipment submittal review, and in-depth equipment inspection
• Working command of Objective Quality Evidence (OQE) principles and documentation standards
• Direct experience witnessing factory acceptance testing of electrical and mechanical gear
• Practical fluency with commissioning Levels 1–5, IST execution, and pre-energization safety and cleanliness protocols
• Experience with commissioning management platforms such as CxAlloy; able to learn MCIM/MCAP

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain all vendor factory visits through FAT/FWT tracker with scheduling and assignments.
• Assist factories with SOPs and approved test scripts for controlled testing environments.
• Lead reviews of equipment with procurement and engineering to ensure high-quality outcomes.
• Identify and document deficiencies during onsite factory visits and propose corrective actions.
• Document OFCI equipment findings with an objective evidence trail from factory to field.
• Verify asset tag data and ensure nomenclature matches approved drawings and revisions.
• Coordinate with site teams to reconcile tag data with submittals and drawings before downstream use.
• Direct Root Cause Analysis for inconsistencies and verify corrective actions.
• Escalate systemic documentation issues with Operations management.
• Lead or participate in GC meetings to represent owner's interests and ensure issue resolution.
