Job summary

Baker Construction is seeking a QA/QC Manager to lead on-site quality assurance and control across complex projects. You will certify inspectors, guide QA/QC programs, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and robust experience in QA/QC, including nuclear-related codes. You’ll partner with diverse teams to uphold safety, quality, and performance on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering, scientific, or construction-related discipline from an accredited college or university and 6 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of construction practices (i.e., formwork, rebar, concrete placing, etc.)
• Quality assurance-related experience preferably in the nuclear power industry (DOE/DOD facilities)
• Quality inspector experience
• Demonstrated skill and knowledge with applicable quality codes and standards and preferably NRC regulations

Responsibilities

• Directs QA/QC staff and inspections to ensure project quality goals are met.
• Oversees QA/QC documentation generated, assembled, and maintained for projects.
• Ensures records are legible, complete, and traceable to the item.
• Assists in defining inspection processes and certifying co-workers who perform inspections.
• Develops and implements Company/Project QA/QC programs per owner/regulatory requirements.
• Directs inspection/test personnel for quality-related activities.
• Reviews and approves test controls and tests; conducts vendor inspections and witness tests as required.
• Conducts audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety programs and implements corrective actions.
• Collaborates with HR on policy compliance and staff development.
