Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience developing and using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Responsibilities

• Direct laboratory operations and supervise technicians.
• Ensure safe operation of lab personnel, equipment, and processes.
• Provide technical support for laboratory testing techniques, equipment upgrades, process improvements, and special projects.
• Partner with R&D, Sales, Product Management, and other functions to meet customer needs.
• Provide technical support to plant operations and identify opportunities for process and quality improvements.
• Develop and maintain procedures to ensure Quality System requirements and support plant audits and accreditations.
• Motivate, coach, train, and develop team members to build a high-performance work team.
• Manage laboratory activities and resources to maintain costs at or below budget.
• Maintain training and LMS knowledge and ensure required refresher training.
• Revise SOPs and other job documentation reflecting Management of Change (MOC) changes.
• Utilize SAP to enter maintenance of work notifications and orders and follow up on work-order completion.
• Conduct core safety meetings with shift personnel.
• Apply statistical analysis to laboratory and process results.
• Ensure materials are evaluated and released per specifications.
• Lead investigations using root-cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action techniques.
