QA/QC Lead - Data Center Infrastructure
Location: Columbus, OH

Project: Hyperscale Data Center Build

We're hiring QA/QC Engineers to support a major hyperscale data center deployment in New Albany, Ohio.

This role is focused on quality across physical data center infrastructure, including prefabricated rack builds, onsite rack deployment, structured fiber/copper cabling, equipment installation, testing, documentation, and final readiness before turnover.

You'll work closely with technicians, vendors, and project teams to identify quality issues early, document deficiencies, verify corrective work, and help ensure installations meet drawings, specifications, and site standards before acceptance.

Responsibilities

• Inspect prefabricated racks and onsite infrastructure installations


• Review rack placement, labeling, cable management, patching, and workmanship


• Verify fiber and copper cabling against drawings, rack elevations, and installation standards


• Review test results and support validation of fiber/copper connectivity


• Identify defects, create or support punch-list items, and track corrective action


• Reinspect completed work and confirm deficiencies have been resolved


• Document findings through photos, checklists, reports, and field notes


• Support Layer 1 / Layer 2 troubleshooting where required


• Coordinate with technicians, vendors, and project leadership to resolve quality issues


• Help prevent rework by catching installation and material issues before final acceptance

Ideal Background

• Data center QA/QC, infrastructure engineering, structured cabling, fiber, network infrastructure, or data center technician experience


• Strong understanding of racks, fiber, copper, patch panels, pathways, labeling, and cable management


• Experience reading drawings, rack elevations, layouts, or installation documentation


• Familiarity with OTDR, VFL, insertion loss, Tier 1 testing, or similar validation methods is a plus


• Experience with punch lists, inspections, corrective action, or final turnover preferred


• Comfortable working independently in an onsite data center environment
