Job summary

Jobtailor, based in Pittsboro, NC, seeks an engineering- or construction-focused intern/assistant to support QA/QC activities. You will act as a technical liaison, assist field teams, and manage data/reporting using BIM360Field, Bluebeam, and iPads.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in an accredited bachelor’s program and familiar with electrical terminology, with a willingness to travel up to 100% and work flexible hours including nights and weekends. Background checks apply.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited program pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, or construction.
• Proficient with PC and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willing to learn project checklist and issue management software packages.
• Knowledge of electrical terminology and components.
• Travel up to 100% and flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Overtime may be required and background/drug screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technical assistant to the field and liaison between QA/QC Journeyman, Foreman, Superintendents, and office.
• Support technical tools including iPads, QA/QC software, BIM360Field, and Bluebeam.
• Communicate project specifications and support details/drawings needed for QA/QC tasks.
• Lead training needs for technology tools, software applications, and SOPs.
• Understand relational data sets for equipment and feeders and generate reports.
• Ensure procedures and checklists document equipment installation and energization requirements.
• Assemble project information documenting installation conformance.
• Collect and enter data for KPI and visual reporting.
• Provide support materials and reports to project leads.
• Support commissioning activities.

• Travel up to 100%
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Overtime may be required
