QA/QC Manager - Mission Critical Electrical Construction - Charlotte, NC

The Quality and Commissioning Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing quality assurance and commissioning activities across multiple project sites, ensuring compliance with client requirements, company standards, and industry regulations. This role drives continuous improvement by standardizing quality processes, analyzing project performance, and implementing best practices to enhance installation quality and operational efficiency. The successful candidate will provide leadership to field and quality teams, maintain effective communication with clients and stakeholders, monitor project schedules and quality metrics, and support the successful delivery of mission-critical projects through proactive problem-solving, training, and performance management.

  • Oversee Quality Assurance (QA) and Commissioning (CX) activities across multiple project sites.
  • Standardize and continuously improve QA/CX processes across all assigned projects.
  • Analyze lessons learned from completed and ongoing projects to drive continuous improvement and project success.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor project schedules using live tracking tools.
  • Foster clear and consistent communication among project teams and stakeholders.
  • Interpret and communicate client requirements to quality, commissioning, and production teams.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance installation quality and efficiency.
  • Review installation specifications and procedures, and provide training to ensure proper implementation.
  • Establish installation quality standards and monitor adherence to project requirements.
  • Lead and mentor inspectors, technicians, electricians, and other personnel by providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure compliance with site-specific obligations, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collect, analyze, and report quality metrics to evaluate performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor production and installation activities to detect and address deviations from quality standards.
  • Facilitate weekly and monthly team meetings to review project progress, quality performance, and action items.
  • Ensure field personnel perform work in accordance with established quality procedures and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and conduct statistical analysis of quality data.
  • Gather client feedback, participate in project meetings, prepare reports, and support external audits and inspections.
  • Prepare and deliver quality performance reports and updates to senior leadership.
Qualifications
Required
  • High School Diploma with 6–8 years of relevant experience; Associate Degree with 4–6 years of experience; or Bachelor's Degree with 0–2 years of experience.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and typing skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with clients, general contractors, owners, and internal teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively manage responsibilities and meet deadlines.
  • Working knowledge of electrical single-line diagrams.
  • Ability to apply the National Electrical Code (NEC) to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure and within demanding project schedules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship, including H-1B sponsorship, is not available for this position.
Preferred
  • Experience supporting mission-critical projects.
  • Proficiency with Autodesk software.
  • Experience using Procore project management software.
  • Experience with Smartsheet project tracking and reporting.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 scheduling software.
