Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a detail-focused construction QC/QA professional to support project teams in Arizona. You will assist the Superintendents and PMs to ensure quality from inception to turnover, while coordinating QA/QC plans with the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities include field inspections, reviewing shop drawings, tracking inspections, and coordinating third-party testing. Proficiency with Procore, AutoDesk, and Smartsheet is valued.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of successful construction management experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in architectural, civil, structural engineering or construction management.
• Prior QA/QC experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel and verify employment to work in the U.S.

• Assist Superintendents and Project Managers in project completion
• Ensure mission-critical projects and subcontractor work meet desired quality levels from inception through turnover
• Support the Quality Manager with implementation and execution of project-specific QA/QC plans
• Conduct daily CSA and/or MEP walkthroughs and field inspections
• Monitor and update Inspection Test Plans, test logs, inspection logs, and QA/QC documentation
• Compile photographic evidence and supporting documentation for QA/QC activities
• Monitor deficiencies and document corrective actions
• Support completion lists, punch lists, and phase turnover activities
• Review shop drawings and submittals for conformance with project specifications
• Participate in preparatory meetings and first work inspections
• Coordinate third-party testing and track special inspections using Smartsheet Work Apps
• Track AHJ inspections and file documentation in project management software
• Share lessons learned with project teams and trade partners

Requirements

• 1+ years of successful construction management experience
• A bachelor’s degree in architectural, civil, structural engineering or construction management
• Previous construction quality control experience is preferred
• Willingness to travel
• Mission-critical mindset and attention to detail
• Excellent communication with trade partners and project team members
• High level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity
• Knowledge and experience with project management software like Procore, AutoDesk, CxAlloy, Bluebeam, Smartsheet
