Job summary

Variety Staffing is seeking a Director of QA/QC to lead Supplier Quality and In-Process and Outgoing Quality, ensuring climbing products meet quality and regulatory standards. This role develops and evaluates programs governing production from raw materials to finished goods, and leads the quality team to support the mission.

The incumbent will drive a culture of quality ownership, manage the QA budget, and report to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• 3-5 years of progressive manufacturing quality leadership experience required.
• ASQ CMQ/QE certification required.
• Lean Six Sigma Belt preferred (Green/Black).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate production operations to ensure products meet quality, integrity, functionality, and specs across lines.
• Develop and execute methods to inspect products and equipment per quality processes.
• Identify gaps in quality policies and drive corrective actions (CAR).
• Develop and implement supplier/vendor quality requirements and close corrective actions.
• Collaborate with management to maintain acceptable quality standards and drive quality ownership.
• Approve changes and conduct random inspections and QC checks on the floor.
• Review QC documentation for accuracy and relevance; report status to leadership and regulators when needed.
