Job summary

IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical, in Lubbock, Texas, seeks a full-time QA/QC Coordinator to support quality assurance across electrical construction projects.

You will assist in developing standards, identify non-conformances, track corrective actions, and maintain QA/QC records while ensuring safety policies are followed on site.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of electrical (industrial or commercial) construction experience.
• HS Diploma/GED.
• Understanding of electrical construction standards, equipment, and installations.
• Data Center experience preferred.
• Electrical field experience preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of construction disciplines.
• Proficient with Excel and Word.
• Strong communication (written/verbal), problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
• Pass pre-employment background check and MVR if operating vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of QA standards and continuous improvement revisions.
• Identify non-conformances and issue corrective/preventive action reports.
• Monitor corrective actions and verify closure of quality issues.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation and records.
• Report quality performance metrics to management.
• Coordinate inspections, tests, and audits at project stages.
• Ensure compliance with project specs, company standards, and codes/regulations.
• Perform onsite inspections of equipment and installations.
• Collaborate with Project Team to ensure proper installation quality the first time.
• Conduct onsite work with Project Team for inspections and reports.
• Ensure compliance with company and customer safety policies.

• Proactively works with Project Team to ensure all installations are installed correctly the first time
• Performs work onsite with the Project Team in performing all inspections and reports
• Ensures compliance with all company and customer Safety policies and procedures.

• Understanding of electrical construction standards, equipment, and installations.

• Strong communication (written/verbal), problem-solving, analytical, organizational, and attention to detail skills.
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) background check, and MVR check when responsibilities require operating motor vehicles.
