IES Commercial, Inc. – DBA IES Electrical is seeking a full-time Site Safety Coordinator for a Data Center in Lubbock, TX. You will provide safety leadership, support field teams, and ensure regulatory compliance. The role emphasizes orientation, toolbox talks, and risk assessments to maintain a safe project site.

You will collaborate with foremen, superintendents, and client safety personnel, manage safety documentation, and support training needs while travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years recent experience in construction safety or a related role.
• OSHA 30-hour and OSHA 510 certifications; First Aid/CPR.
• CHST credential desired.
• Strong communication and computer skills.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of management and field employees.
• Background check and MVR check required.

Responsibilities

• Provides safety leadership and reports on safety performance.
• Advises operations and project managers on safety requirements.
• Conducts new hire and site safety orientations.
• Leads toolbox talks and safety meetings as directed.
• Reviews site safety plans, permits, and MOPs; escalates concerns.
• Performs daily jobsite walks to audit hazards and practices.
• Responds to incidents and participates in investigations.
• Ensures compliance with policies and regulatory standards.

Job Summary

• Provides safety leadership and technical support to field employees; evaluates and reports on safety performance
• Supports safe work planning by advising operations and project managers on Company and contractual safety requirements
• Conducts new hire and site-specific safety orientations
• Leads toolbox talks and safety meetings as directed by management
• Reviews site safety plans, risk assessments, permits, MOPs, and related documentation; escalates concerns to the Senior Safety Manager as needed
• Performs daily jobsite walks to conduct audits and inspections, identify hazards, and ensure safe work practices; escalates issues as necessary
• Responds to reports of incidents and safety concerns, and participates in investigations with senior safety leadership
• Ensures compliance with Company policies, OSHA, and applicable regulatory standards; maintains required safety documentation
• Collaborates regularly with foremen, superintendents, and client safety personnel to identify and resolve safety issues
• Utilizes Company safety systems and software to track incidents, inspections, and corrective actions
• Assists with identifying training needs and coordinating required training with the Senior Safety Manager
• Maintains required safety certifications and supports ongoing professional development
• Conducts weekly safety meetings and attends project audits as requested
• Monitors subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with Company and project safety requirements
• Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Education and/or training in Occupational Health & Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred
• Prior experience as Electrician highly preferred
• OSHA 30-hour, OSHA 510, and First Aid/CPR certifications; CHST credential desired
• 3-5 years recent experience in construction safety or a related role
• Proficient understanding of construction processes and safety regulations
• Strong computer and communication (written, verbal) skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management and field employees
• Maintaining driving qualifications as required per IES Fleet Safety Program
• Successfully pass pre-employment (post-offer) background check and MVR check.
