Job summary

Jobot is seeking a hands-on QA Manager to own the quality strategy for a complex software platform operating in a regulated environment. This person will lead the QA function while remaining technically involved in test strategy, automation, release readiness, and overall product quality.

The role partners with Engineering and Product, mentors QA and QA Automation Engineers, and drives automated testing within CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 6+ years QA/Test Engineering experience with leadership or ownership of QA strategy.
• Experience with the complete software testing lifecycle.
• Experience building or scaling automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with Selenium, TestNG, Jenkins or comparable technologies.
• Experience testing APIs, backend systems, and integrated software platforms.
• Experience with performance and security testing.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with FedRAMP, NIST, government technology, or other regulated environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall QA strategy, standards, and testing processes across the software development lifecycle.
• Lead and mentor QA and QA Automation Engineers.
• Establish release-quality standards and participate in go/no-go decisions for production releases.
• Drive functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and acceptance testing.
• Develop and expand the organization’s test automation strategy.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Track defects, test coverage, escaped defects, and other quality metrics.
• Work closely with Engineering and Product to improve testability and release quality.
• Maintain testing documentation and evidence required within a regulated/audited environment.
