NAEYC in Washington, DC is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to oversee day-to-day quality assurance processes within the Early Learning Program Accreditation system. You will manage casework from intake to close, applying scope-and-severity frameworks with rigor and producing precise communications.

This is a process-management role focused on accuracy, consistency, and data-driven improvements, with a hybrid schedule based in the DC Metro region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, public administration, quality assurance, compliance, or related field (master’s preferred).
• Five or more years of experience in accreditation, licensing, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, or program monitoring.
• Experience owning a complex case-review or compliance function end-to-end — including protocol design and refinement.
• Unwavering attention to detail and consistent application of processes.
• Sound judgment on when to close matters or escalate to a committee.
• Strong data literacy for turning case data into process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day management of the entire QA case pipeline with all reports and regulatory items.
• Independent review and resolution of cases within established protocols.
• Apply scope-and-severity frameworks to critical incidents for reviews.
• Draft and approve precise decision letters and guidance.
• Manage QA committee meetings and appeals processes.
• Own QA tracking and reporting, turning data into improved policies and tools.
