Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an experienced QA leader to drive quality across simulation, rendering, and robotics platforms.

You will design test strategies, build automation, and lead a team of QA engineers and SDETs to ensure robust software delivered to internal stakeholders and customers. You will own test architectures, mentor engineers, and partner with product and engineering to define acceptance criteria.

Qualifications

• Experience leading QA or SDET efforts for complex software products (web/platform/simulation/robotics).
• Define QA/QC processes, quality standards, release criteria, and team practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA strategy, planning, and execution for simulation and rendering platforms across frontend, backend, data, APIs, rendering, and integration layers.
• Own automated test architecture for UI, API, integration, regression, data validation, simulation scenarios, rendering validation, and performance testing.
• Collaborate with software engineering, robotics, product, and architecture to translate requirements into testable plans and acceptance criteria.
• Champion CI/CD quality practices with test selection, pipeline health, flaky-test reduction, and release readiness reporting.
• Mentor QA engineers and SDETs; hire support, onboarding, and coaching.
