Job summary
Caterpillar Inc. is seeking an advanced Quality Engineering leader to architect and execute functional and performance testing across Cat Digital’s global eCommerce platform.
You will drive testing strategy, automate across UI, API, and integration layers, and partner with engineering to improve system stability and user experience. You will apply expertise in distributed systems, from dev to production, ensuring non-functional requirements are met and performance is validated with real customer
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Extensive experience in software quality engineering, system testing, or performance engineering.
- Strong knowledge of UI, API, and integration testing across distributed systems.
- Experience with large-scale ecommerce or customer-facing digital platforms a plus.
Responsibilities
- Designs and leads functional and performance testing strategies for complex multi-tier applications.
- Guides engineering teams to improve design, performance, and testability across the SDLC.
- Defines release readiness criteria and validation plans for production readiness.
- Integrates automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and promotes shift-left testing practices.
- Conducts root-cause analysis and performance diagnostics to remove bottlenecks.
