Job summary

Crisil is seeking a hands-on quality leader to shape testing and automation for banking and payments software. You will set the direction, build shared tooling, and act as the quality gatekeeper across environments while collaborating with engineering and product teams.

You will stand up core testing routines, ensure traceability from business requirements to test coverage, and maintain compliance across environments. Experience in Java, Agile, and distributed teams is important in this role.

Qualifications

• Roughly a decade in IT overall, with four to six years building test automation hands-on.
• At least three years of actual development, ideally in Java, with enough fluency to write and debug code.
• Experience delivering automation inside an Agile Scrum setup.
• Comfortable operating in distributed, onshore/offshore global teams.

Responsibilities

• Set the overall direction for testing and automation, ensuring repeatable, improved processes.
• Create shared, reusable test frameworks and accelerators for multiple teams.
• Coach engineers toward stronger practices and review application and test code.
• Run core testing routines from data generation to defect logging and reporting.
• Keep traceability from business requirements to test coverage and defects.
• Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory mandates across environments.
• Design test scenarios for banking/payment rails and ISO 20022/SWIFT messaging.
• Partner with onshore and offshore colleagues to keep delivery consistent and transparent.
