Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Quality Engineer to support the Gunnery Training Systems (GTS). The GTS provide precision and degraded-mode gunnery simulation for crews, sections and platoons, with tech refresh, concurrency upgrades, production of current systems development and RMF recertification and Embedded Training support.

The GTS are virtual gunnery training simulators that support initial familiarization, skills progression, and sustainment training for Army, DoD, and federal programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 6+ years relevant experience.
• Quality assurance experience in a procurement environment.
• Experience identifying risks, researching issues, and informing PMO-level decisions.
• Subject matter expert in quality assurance and development of new operating processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop QA surveillance strategies with Program Managers and define information needs.
• Lead QA planning, work product reviews, and quality audits for the GTS program.
• Support multiple programs within the Business Area as assigned by leaders.
• Implement and maintain the Quality Assurance Program Plan (QAPP).
• Analyze post-delivery reports, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
• Facilitate lean six sigma events to address cross-area issues.
• Support Power BI dashboards to monitor performance, inventory, and SLAs.
• Conduct RCA of service delivery issues and provide data-driven recommendations.
• Prepare for external audits and maintain audit databases with timely closures.
• Travel for on-site readiness, audits, and pre-DCMA inspections as required.
