Job summary

NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks an Associate Project Manager for IHD Quality Assurance in Queens. You will lead QA efforts, review test procedures, and coordinate with contractors, designers, and project managers to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout capital projects.

The role emphasizes field surveys, contract review, and collaboration across Design Services and Engineering Services within BEDC. Residency in NYC is required for many roles.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years planning, design and design services during construction for process mechanical/environmental projects.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork; ability to foster a positive team environment.
• Excellent communication, organization, writing and public speaking; able to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review QA test procedures and coordinate with contractors, PMs, and design engineers.
• Direct field condition surveys and ensure accurate reporting of observations.
• Analyze contract documents; identify deficiencies and propose solutions.
• Support design-construction interfaces and ensure compliance with specs.
