NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) seeks an Assistant Civil Engineer for IHD's Structural Section in Queens, NY. Under supervision, you will assist in capital project design, drafting plans, specifications, calculations, site visits, and construction support for water tunnels, treatment systems, and large facilities deemed high priority for the agency.

Preferred candidates hold a civil/structural engineering degree (Bachelor's, Master's preferred), knowledge of reinforced concrete

Formación

• 1 year of full-time satisfactory civil engineering experience with emphasis on structural work; degree in civil/structural engineering; FE exam is a plus
• 2. Degree in civil/structural engineering from an accredited college; master's degree preferred

Responsabilidades

• Prepare plans, specifications and related calculations for water tunnels and wastewater facilities
• Conduct field visits; assist with design services during construction and shop drawing reviews
• Develop project schedules; coordinate with engineers and stakeholders; prepare proposals and reports
• Witness shop testing and commissioning of structural systems; review design deliverables from external firms
