Job Title: QA Lead – FIS

Location: Lisle, IL - Hybrid

Experience: 10+ years

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced QA Lead with a strong background in FIS products and platforms to lead testing efforts across mission-critical financial systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in payment platforms, core banking systems, or card processing, with a deep understanding of QA processes in BFSI environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end QA activities including test planning, estimation, design, execution, and defect management.
• Define and implement test strategies for FIS-based applications (e.g., FIS Profile, FIS Horizon, FIS Payments, etc.).
• Review and analyze business requirements and functional specifications.
• Coordinate with development, product, and business teams to ensure test coverage and quality delivery.
• Conduct system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Mentor and manage QA team members; assign tasks and track progress.
• Ensure adherence to quality assurance best practices and standards.
• Report quality metrics and identify risks and mitigation plans.
• Oversee automation strategy where applicable, and support tools like Selenium, JIRA, HP ALM, etc.
• Ensure compliance with PCI-DSS, SOX, or other regulatory requirements relevant to FIS systems.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in leading QA teams in financial services or banking domains.
• Strong working knowledge of FIS systems (such as FIS Payments, FIS Profile, FIS IST/Switch, etc.).
• Experience with payment processing flows, card schemes, ISO 8583, SWIFT, or ACH.
• Solid understanding of SDLC/STLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
• Familiar with test management tools (JIRA, HP ALM, qTest, TestRail, etc.).
• Good exposure to automation frameworks is a plus (Selenium, Java/Python).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification.
• Experience in testing APIs, web applications, and backend systems.
• Familiarity with FIS integration testing and backend validation using SQL.
• Exposure to cloud-based testing or CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
