Job summary

JBS USA in Green Bay, WI is seeking a QA Lab Technician to walk production floors, collect samples, and conduct drug residue testing. The role supports QA/FS leadership, audits, and data gathering for investigations.

Responsibilities include ensuring USDA and facility regulation compliance, monitoring GMPs and HACCP procedures, and maintaining lab equipment. Flexibility to work 2nd shift and some Saturdays is required.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Computer skills required for data entry and record keeping.
• Able to work 2nd shift when needed and Saturdays as required.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including some Saturdays.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.

• Walk production floors to collect samples and ensure proper documentation.
• Submit samples to 3rd party vendors.
• Perform drug residue testing.
• Assist in third-party vendor audits and support QA/FS supervision in investigations.
• Audit and enforce USDA and facility regulations.
• Perform checks to ensure food safety and quality programs are followed.
• Monitor SOPs/SSOPs/GMPs and HACCP procedures for compliance with regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain lab equipment through cleaning and routine maintenance.
• Data entry and data management.
