Job summary

Pilgrim in Green Bay, Wisconsin seeks a Quality Assurance & Food Safety associate to audit and enforce USDA and facility regulations onsite. You will perform checks to uphold food safety and quality programs, monitor SOPs/SSOPs/GMPs, and support investigations with data.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work flexible hours, overtime and some weekends.
• Must be willing to learn all aspects of food safety.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills preferred.
• Must be willing to work in both hot and cold environments.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation and quality assurance practices preferred.
• Ability to climb stairs
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Audit and document compliance with USDA and facility regulations.
• Perform checks to ensure food safety and quality programs.
• Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and HACCP compliance.
• Coordinate with FSIS/USDA to present records.
• Assist QA Supervisor with data gathering for investigations.
• Work with production to monitor meat specs and report violations.
• Maintain workstation cleanliness and regular maintenance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Auditing, documenting and enforcing USDA and facility regulations.
• Perform checks and verifications to ensure food safety and quality program is being followed.
• Monitor SOPs, SSOPs, GMPs and perform HACCP procedures to ensure compliance with federal regulations.
• Must work with FSIS/USDA and present records per the agency’s request.
• Aid Quality Assurance Supervisor and management in gathering data for investigations.
• Work closely with production associates in monitoring meat product specifications, correcting any deficienciesand notifying management of any violations of USDA regulations or HACCP requirements.
• Maintain work station by ensuring proper cleaning and regular maintenance is performed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
