Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join a dynamic team in Des Moines, IA. The role focuses on testing finished products and components using lab equipment to ensure compliance with parameters across production, packaging and warehousing.

The ideal candidate will have a Chemistry/Biochemistry background, experience with HPLC/GC, and knowledge of GMP/QA. This is a full-time contract position onsite with potential overtime during peak seasons.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or related life science, or 6+ months lab/production experience.
• HS diploma required.
• Experience with HPLC/GC is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform multiple process checks throughout production, packaging, and warehousing.
• Set up and calibrate HPLC and GC testing equipment.
• Receive, document, and enter batch testing results into specified systems.
• Analyze and report quality results to supervisors and managers.
• Conduct physical property testing using various instruments.
• Provide independent oversight of lab processes, verifying compliance with company standards and policies.
