Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated, Hunt Valley Plant is hiring a Lab Technician on the 2nd shift (1:30p-10p, Mon-Fri). The role is part of a high-performance team focused on keeping production flowing, ensuring quality, and maintaining a safe, clean environment.

Responsibilities include sampling ingredients, testing materials, recording results, performing troubleshooting, supporting production maintenance, conducting daily line audits, and participating in cross-functional meetings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent written & oral communication skills.
• One to two years quality experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Able to work overtime and weekend shifts as needed.
• Flexibility with shift and workday assignments to meet business needs.
• Must maintain safety and quality compliance at all times.

Responsibilities

• Samples raw ingredients and packaging materials and records results.
• Tests samples and records results accurately in paper and computer.
• Troubleshoots operational issues and flags nonconformities.
• Performs environmental monitoring testing.
• Conducts daily line audits for finished products.
• Participates in cross-functional meetings and problem-solving events.
• Supports MAC process as directed by QA leadership.
• Communicates test results to appropriate personnel.
