Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated is seeking a Lab Technician for the Hunt Valley Plant, on the 2nd shift (1:30p-10p, Mon-Fri). The QA-focused role involves self-directed teamwork to maintain product quality, support production, and participate in problem solving.

Overtime and weekend flexibility are required to meet business needs. Baseline qualifications include a high school diploma, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Sample raw ingredients and packaging materials entering the plant.
• Test samples and record results accurately in paper and computer.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and issue Quality Notifications as needed.
• Conduct testing per environmental monitoring program.
• Support production with issues affecting quality or efficiency.
• Perform daily line audits for finished products.
• Participate in cross‑functional meetings and problem‑solving events.
• Support MAC process as directed by QA leadership.
• Overtime and weekend work may be required.
