Job summary

GAF is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician III to evaluate claims, lead lab testing, and drive improvements in our roofing materials lab. You will ensure accurate data collection, maintain equipment calibration, and support new hires.

The role emphasizes collaboration across warranty, field services, R&D, and manufacturing teams. Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED with 5 years in a manufacturing or R&D lab setting; a technical bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• 5 years of manufacturing or R&D lab experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead claim evaluations to determine manufacturing and performance characteristics.
• Conduct testing per established protocols and provide accurate data.
• Assist in data-driven lab dispositions and improvements to processes.
• Review and improve lab workflows based on field feedback.
• Ensure lab safety and maintain calibration programs for equipment.
• Train and mentor junior technicians; support supervisor in lab operations.
• Coordinate lab resources to meet project goals and timelines.
